MG Apparel, a global apparel exporter and manufacturer, launched in 2021 is a subsidiary of the conglomerate Mahmood Group that was founded in 1935 and has been a prominent player in Pakistan’s industrial sector for 89 years.
MG Apparel produces a wide range of apparel products that are delivered to international clients, especially cotton wear. Our location in Multan, South Punjab, the prime cotton belt of Pakistan, gives us an added advantage in the product life cycle, making us a worthwhile choice for customers over other provincial capitals. We have adopted Industry 4.0 guidelines and have tailored policies for promoting sustainable production, DEI and industrial digitization. At MG Apparel, circularity and reducing textile waste are top priorities for us. We are dedicated to extending the lifespan of our products through recycling, upcycling, and reusing materials. By exploring new design techniques and implementing eco-friendly processes, we ensure that we offer top quality services while minimizing carbon footprint. At the same time, we aim to empower our communities and promote a progressive organizational culture.
Over the years, we have set a benchmark for sustainability in the corporate world. Through our outstanding efforts in developing highly sustainable sites, MG Apparel has earned LEED Platinum certification with 87 points. Our state-of-the-art facility is renowned for its commitment to sustainable production, cutting-edge technologies and innovative manufacturing processes throughout Pakistan. We’re also the first organization of its kind in Pakistan to employ a 75% female workforce, highlighting our commitment to gender equality and inclusivity.
Right now, we have set a goal to achieve decarbonization by 2050 through continuous implementation of sustainable practice, which will minimize emissions to the greatest possible degree as per 1.5°C business ambition of Science Based Targets. We also look forward to employing more women in leadership and STEM roles, setting a standard for diversity and inclusion in the corporate sector.
